I would say this was a very good stand-up special. It wasn't quite as good as his last two CD's, but it was still hilarious in many instances. The ISIS bit about the beheadings was pure gold, as was the talk about mental illness and how badly the mentally ill are treated in his state of AZ. The Euphemism Treadmill was another really funny joke that really made me bust out laughing. It didn't have the same feel as his last two specials, however. It wasn't quite as strong in many areas, but he still was making really good points. He didn't have a strong closer this time, which just may have made this a 5-star special. Still, the ideas he talks about were important. 18 years a slave was funny because I never thought of childhood like that, and he still has it, just to to the extent of the early 2000's. It's still worth owning if you are a fan of his. I was really excited for this CD that I bought it at 3 minutes past midnight when it came out. I had seen a little 20 minute cut of it on Youtube a few months ago and thought it was really funny. He makes a ton of great points about how badly we treat the mentally ill and how the mentally challenged are treated so well by comparison. He mentions the fact that they BOTH have a mental disability, but one is looked at with disdain and condemnation while the other doesn't seem to disturb anyone and you can't talk about mentally challenged people in any derogatory way while mentally ill people are called every name in the book from lunatic to wacko.Definitely some great ideas with a lot of humor. I didn't laugh quite as much as the other CD's, but after listening to this one twice, I have to say that it was at least a CD that any Doug Stanhope fan would love to own. That's if you haven't already seen the video special. I hadn't and I wanted to support Doug because we all know he doesn't make much money because he's not in the mainstream comedy scene.

Ever since I saw his Comedy Central half hour, I've been intrigued by this misanthrope. I've purchased this mp3 to watch him mature and finally accept himself. He's not ugly with disgusting genitalia, but mocks himself as well as others. He's processed pain into humor, which is as human as can be.

Stanhope gets even better at what he does best, and since he seems among friends here, he es a little more relaxed than usual, which makes a great album. Stanhope's ability to discuss issues from a completely different angle than everybody else makes him the most unconventional and thus interesting comedian alive today.

Yep, Doug is still awesome. Deal with it.Don't know why this guy isn't more famous. He's hilarious, dark and the true moral heir to Bill Hicks. Sort of a "voice in the wilderness" railing against modern American greed, ignorance and stupidity.

Well, if you're not easily offended this is for you. Stanhope is awesome. My favorite funny person. Besides my Uncle Clay when he's hammered.

Great Album. Standhope has always been great and he only gets better in time. Pour a cocktail, put on the album and sit back. Vinyl quality is decent, nothing amazing but it’s a damn standup album it works for me.

if you're a fan, you already know that you will love this. If you aren't, test yourself - he's an aquired tast, but for those of us who've aquired it, there's nothing better.

Stanhope at his best. i've had the pleasure of seeing him live 4 times and steal his stuff all the time!
