The book is relatively well-designed. The color scheme, layout and everything align with the overall Obata aesthetics. It is basically a table book. For anyone interested in Obata, it covers almost everything there is to know,What I did not like is that most of the artwork is reproduced in very tiny images, taking a quarter of a page each. Lots of empty space in between. And the pages are not too big to begin with. Then, the images are reformatted to the same standard picture sizes in fitting mutiple images on the same page, instead of keeping the original proportions where possible. I expected a lot more full-page reproductions too.Lastly, the book is really expensive, especially for a product coming out of an allegedly non-profit institution like UC.
